Chevron B8

Chevron B8

This Chevron B8 was built by Chevron Cars Ltd in the early 1990s under the ownership of Roger Andreason and Tim Colman and is one of four road specification cars built at that time using the original jigs.

The Car was originally supplied with a Lotus twincam and Hewland Mk9 gearbox, the same specification as the twincan powered Chevron B8 run by Barrie Smith which won the Danish GP race at Jyllandspringen in 1967. The car was stored for many years and came to us dismantled but basically complete, minus its original twin cam engine. The car had never been fully assembled and run, and was therefore basically a new car with none of the stresses from race miles often associated with a race car of this age. The car was completely reassembled and built to full race specification with FIA papers.
